Broken pipe soaks 16-story downtown Fort Myers condominium (FL)

A pipe burst on the 16th floor of the Pointe Royale Condominiums sending water rushing down each unit on Tuesday afternoon.  Gary LaCroix, the president of the Pointe Royale COA board said fire crews were able to remove all the water from the building. Q: Our condominium insurance premium increased this year by a significant amount. Rather than increase assessments by the same amount, we want to reduce the reserve assessment to minimize the impact on the premium increase. I read somewhere that the board has discretion over the budget but was also told that there is no discretion with reserves.
